Hans has been involved in engineering, production, developments/ R&D as well as in management functions during the years.

The last years Hans has been one of the leaders to green ammonia production and as CEO of  Proton Ventures BV (www.protonventures.com) he has been leading the development towards green ammonia technologies.

Investments in R&D has led to cooperation of Battolyser development (www.battolysersystems.com).

As founder and shareholder of Proton Ventures BV and Battolyser BV, Hans has now stepped down as CEO for the both companies. Since 24-10-2022 he also will retire from the function of Chairman to the Board of Proton Ventures BV as well as Supervisory Board Member in Battolyser Systems BV.

In the past Vrijenhoef Beheer BV has been offering consultancy to the Proton Companies including NFuel technologies Ltd,  Battolyser Companies, Transhydrogen Alliance and Stichting NH3event. Since this summer Hans has been nominated EVP/ President elect for the Ammonia Energy Association in New York . He will continu to assist the NH3event Euope and the   Ammonia Energy Association and its membersin their efforts towards green ammonia.
